Make sure to crack out your cameras, everyone, because we'll be learning how to take many great pictures at our next meeting!

Immediate Business
Our April meeting will kick off our meeting held at the barn instead of the school for the summer season.
Remember to bring any donations for the Horizon Elementary School to the meeting.

Upcoming Meeting
Our next meeting will be held on April 16th at Sundance Farm at 6:30pm.
The attendance question is "What is your favorite riding style?".
Snacks will be provided by the Schweitzer family.
We will be discussing the horse show.
We will also be learning about fake tails, horse conformation, and photography.

Past Meeting
Our March meeting was held at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria at Plymouth High School.
The attendance question was "What is your favorite horse breed?"
We discussed the horse show.
The fair decorations were voted upon and are themed "Around the World".
We decided on a Project Angel Hugs date, which was March 30th.
We decided to donate $200 to the pizza sale.
Many wonderful speeches were given by the members.

Is everyone ready for a night of engaging speeches filled to the brim with exciting information? Well, get ready because us senior members of the group are here to entertain.

Immediate Business

  • The next mandatory Horse & Pony Project meeting is on March 26th at 6:30 pm in the Wombat room at UW-Sheb. This is your last opportunity.
  • Make sure you all have your speeches ready. Impromptu presentations will not be accepted (unless they're a healthy three minutes, of course).
  • Anyone that brought a fair decoration idea up that still stands behind it will need to bring out a drawn plan for their themes. Themes without diagrams will not be voted on. Decoration ideas brought up were:
    • Wizard of Oz
    • NASA
    • End of the Rainbow
    • Around the World
    • Movies
    • Beaches
    • Summer
    • Silent Films
    • Cat in the Hat
    • Sports
    • Cities or Passport
    • Harry Potter
    • Under the Sea
Upcoming Meeting
  • Our next meeting is to be held on March 12th at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria at Plymouth High School
  • Attendance question will be "What is your favourite horse breed?"
  • Members of the 4H grade 6 and up are required to give speeches. Other members are not required to do so, but may if they wish.
  • We will discuss any relevant topics about our horse show.
  • Snacks will be provided by the Strehlow family.
Past Meeting
  • Our February meeting was held in the cafeteria at Plymouth High School at 6:30 pm.
  • Attendance question was "What is your favourite board game?"
  • We had a guest speaker give a speech on horse diseases, colic being the main topic.
  • A motion was made for our trip to the Wade House to be on June 23rd at 1:30 pm.
  • Various members showed interest in volunteering at Project Angel Hugs, Whisper Hills, and the Wade House. No specific dates were set or confirmed.

Can you all believe it's already February? It feels like it was Christmas just yesterday. Since the months are flying by, double check to make sure you're enrolled in all of your projects. It would be devastating to later find out that you can't participate because you'd forgotten to enroll.

Immediate Business
  • The next mandatory Horse & Pony meeting is February 27th at 6:30pm and is held in the Wombat room at UW-S. The project will also be a hosting a horsey auction after the meeting.
  • If you come up with any theme ideas for our fair decorations, write them down and bring them to our next meeting.
  • Remember to think of spending ideas for the club and to bring information on these activities to the next meeting (dates, prices, etc.)
  • If you have any more ideas for community builders opportunities, notify Christal Mulder.
  • Make sure to start getting out to collect show donations and if you have any, to bring them to our upcoming meeting to turn them in.
  • Everyone in 6th grade and up according to 4H will be required to give their speeches at our March meeting.
  • Remember to pay dues. They will be $3 this month if not already paid.

  • Our next meeting is February 19th at 6:30pm in the cafeteria at PHS.
  • The attendance question is "What is your favourite board game?"
  • Snacks will be provided by the Jarr family.
  • The educational topic is horse diseases.
  • Sign up will be available for the horse show adult committee.
Past Meeting
  • Our past meeting was January 15 in the PHS cafeteria and the attendance question was "What is your favourite thing to do on a cold winter day?"
  • We discussed the changes to this year's show bill which can be viewed online here.
  • Members received the yearly agenda.
  • Carolyn McCann bravely stepped up to take the position as fair decorations chairperson.
  • We decided to table the decision whether or not to donate to the horse sanctuary until next year.

First, I want to welcome any new members. I hope we make your 4-H experience an enjoyable one! Next, many previous members probably already know, but we will not be holding a club meeting in December. Our next meeting will be on January 22, 2015 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria at Plymouth High School. I do not yet have most of the agenda topics for that meeting, but I will send out another small newsletter when that information is decided upon.

Immediate Business

  • Make sure to find time in your schedules to attend one of the three mandatory H&P project handbook meeting if you plan on joining that project this year (and any other mandatory beginning-of-the-year meeting or other projects).
  • The HHG and first year mandatory meeting is on January 29th at 6:30pm at UW-S Wombat room, the standard one with auction is on February 27th at 6:30pm at UW-S Wombat room, and the other is on March 27th at 6:30pm at UW-S Wombat room.
  • Notification from Kelly will be out soon as to when the agenda committee and show committee meetings will be held.
  • Everyone of state age (6th grade and up) have to be thinking of their speech topics so that they may be given in February. Members below age level are not required to give speeches, but it's a good opportunity for practice.
  • Start thinking about where you will be getting your horse show donations.
  • Make lists of high point and fair decoration ideas.

  • Revised show bills will be handed out so that the club may approve of the changes.
  • Agendas for this year will be handed out.

Past Meeting
Our last meeting was held on 20 November 2014 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria at PHS.
  • County Mounties One-day Show will be on July 25th 2015 at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds. We will be running three rings at once; dressage, jumping, and pleasure will be separated. The show chair is Leah Brix.
  • We discussed education topics for the upcoming year, some of which were vaulting, chiropractic, driving horses, reining, polocrosse, and many more.
  • Community Builders chair is Christal Mulder

Happy Sunday, everyone! First, I want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to write the newsletters this year. I hope my efforts live up to expectations.
Second, I want to thank everyone that attended the club's banquet at Amore on Tuesday, October 21. It was a wonderful evening with lots of food and stories!
