14 December 2014

First, I want to welcome any new members. I hope we make your 4-H experience an enjoyable one! Next, many previous members probably already know, but we will not be holding a club meeting in December. Our next meeting will be on January 22, 2015 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria at Plymouth High School. I do not yet have most of the agenda topics for that meeting, but I will send out another small newsletter when that information is decided upon.

Immediate Business

  • Make sure to find time in your schedules to attend one of the three mandatory H&P project handbook meeting if you plan on joining that project this year (and any other mandatory beginning-of-the-year meeting or other projects).
  • The HHG and first year mandatory meeting is on January 29th at 6:30pm at UW-S Wombat room, the standard one with auction is on February 27th at 6:30pm at UW-S Wombat room, and the other is on March 27th at 6:30pm at UW-S Wombat room.
  • Notification from Kelly will be out soon as to when the agenda committee and show committee meetings will be held.
  • Everyone of state age (6th grade and up) have to be thinking of their speech topics so that they may be given in February. Members below age level are not required to give speeches, but it's a good opportunity for practice.
  • Start thinking about where you will be getting your horse show donations.
  • Make lists of high point and fair decoration ideas.
Upcoming Meeting
  • Fair decoration committee will be appointed.
  • Discuss fair decoration ideas.
  • Discuss high point ideas.
  • Revised show bills will be handed out so that the club may approve of the changes.
  • Agendas for this year will be handed out.
  • Horse show donation sheets will be handed out.

Past Meeting
Our last meeting was held on 20 November 2014 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria at PHS.
  • County Mounties One-day Show will be on July 25th 2015 at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds. We will be running three rings at once; dressage, jumping, and pleasure will be separated. The show chair is Leah Brix.
  • We discussed education topics for the upcoming year, some of which were vaulting, chiropractic, driving horses, reining, polocrosse, and many more.
  • Community Builders chair is Christal Mulder
